Friday night training continues to be a real highlight of the week, with fantastic attendance across all age groups. It's been great to see so many young cricketers enjoying themselves, developing their skills, and building friendships in a fun, positive, and supportive environment. The enthusiasm, energy, and smiles on display each week are a credit to the players, coaches, and parents who help make these evenings so enjoyable. Thank you to everyone for your continued support in creating such a welcoming and thriving junior cricket community. A big shout out to the parents that stepped up to help the BBQ Squad on Friday night, it really is appreciated!

Across all age groups, the new sponsored bowling machine has made batting practice more engaging and accessible for all, whilst all teams have been working hard on bowling and fielding drills. The improvement across all of the squads is clear to see.

U11s A Month of Progress & Excitement

What a fantastic month it has been for our U11s!

On match days, the team has shown great spirit and resilience:

• A narrow opening defeat to Cogenhoe
• A brilliant comeback with a 13-run victory over Bold Dragoon
• A successful in-house pairs match during a free week to build experience
• A thrilling 4-run win against ON’s, featuring hat-tricks from both teams and a dramatic final over finish

Off the field, the support from coaches and parents has been outstanding. The regular breakfast club at home games continues to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with visiting teams already keen to return

U13s Unbeaten and Unstoppable

The U13s are enjoying an exceptional season so far, full of standout moments:

Key Highlights

• Unbeaten in the league
• Five batters retired not out (30+ runs each) in one match
• Three new players successfully joining the squad
• Two players selected for County District U13s
• Summer league added for even more cricket

This squad has found a perfect balance between experienced players and those newer to the game, creating a supportive and competitive environment.

Remaining unbeaten while producing such impressive individual and team performances shows just how strong this group is becoming.

With more fixtures ahead, there’s plenty to be excited about!

U15s Building for the Future

May brought three matches for the U15s, with one fixture unfortunately rescheduled due to weather.

Results Snapshot

• 1 win (strong away performance vs Byfield)
• 2 close contests vs Overstone & Stony Stratford

While results and scorecards didn’t always reflect performances, the team competed well and showed great determination. With slightly stronger batting displays, results could easily have swung their way.

• Bowling: Caleb Tew, Charlie Burrows, Henry Jones(U13s)

Emerging impact:

Several players are excelling in the adult 4th Team:

Jacob Horsey & Caleb Tew with (maiden 50s), Jake Kitching (adding wickets) along with Jack Sanders Denham and Cameron Johnston putting in very strong performances for the 4th Team.

We have many more to make their debut from u15s and u13s with others pushing to be playing higher. Highlighting the pathway and development within the club.
